Thanks for the support and prayers; I appreciate them a lot. I managed to sleep okay, and seem to be a bit more functional this morning: I'm about to eat breakfast and attempt to drive to work, so hopefully I can actually get things done today and not just be a very broken Lemur.
I am glad that you decided to keep Fox whole so they can decide what they want to do with their body when they're old enough to make such decisions.
It is unfortunately the case that finding out that people in the US--even if I don't know them--have had sons tends to make me feel stressed just because my brain jumps to worrying about circumcision, even though it's really none of my business, and not a thing I should let my brain think about.
I don't think my feelings on the matter are anti-Semitic, either, but I also know that as a gentile, it's not really my place to decide that. The one of my girlfriends who you didn't meet is Jewish, though, and largely feels the same way about the matter, so another data point that the opinion that it is is at least not universal.
